Maintenance workers should not be punished financially because management is now charging more for repair costs. In addition, shareholders should receive a listing of all fees so we know how much each repair or installation will cost.
Guest
Well there’s no room for tip when management changed the repair costs and made them so high. So the maintenance workers shouldn’t expect for it. Thanks.

We always tip the staff when they’ve installed or made repairs in our apartment. It shows that we appreciated what they’ve done for us, even though it is part of their job. The same thing holds true at the barber shop, beauty salon and restaurants. While it’s not mandatory, I do feel better when I show my gratitude to our staff.

Maybe they should charge less to do repairs in our apartments. So annoying with these prices and maintenance repairs charges increases. It’s like we live in ussr we have to go through a whole process just to get something fixed. Also, do we need to tip those Maintence guys everytime we call them to come and do soemthing for us? I mean isn’t it their job to fix stuff. I see one guy cleaning the hallways the whole day moving one centimeter an hour. Maybe David wants those cameras up to spy on the maintenance guys lol and report it to Union since there’s no way to fire all of them.

One Voice knows of no decision in the corporation’s litigation against Chandra Jain/ Phoenix.
The below comment could be misleading, misinformation, or just wishful thinking.
The manner in which this Board operates, I’d expect them to post results on every lobby wall – if true?

Also looks like Mr. Jain had to settle another court battle. Guess he doesnt “always win” like he bragged.

KeymasterWhether the Yura postings are fake or real, the fact is that the roach/waterbug situation described is real (as was verified by One Voice members in 9707).

hello my fellow shareholders,
please be advised that the “intent” of the new board was never really to help us as shareholders. Please be advised that Chandra wasn’t the best PM either, however all the chaos that we are going through is because one person wanted to prove her self and get back at the poor man so “she” would have the right to make her sales in these cooperatives, and also gain more power within the neighborhood. I hope and pray that we don’t get stuck financially. I am sick to my stomache knowing about all the side deals occurring with “our money”. The war was between the Indian and the Russian “she”, but we as shareholders are paying for that.

“whole complex has become such a joke”
It’s been a joke for awhile

Yura you are a funny guy😂😂 we sure can use a laugh around here. Lol I totally agree with those big mama roaches. When is David & Scott taking over their new office 🙄 who is taking over 98-05 office. Zarina & Rose to run their realty business.??
This whole complex has become such a joke. Scott is obsessed with the camera system. Clearly to watch little boys in the cameras. Moms beware and don’t let your little boys ride the elevators alone without supervision.!!

Seeing the men running camera wires in the buildings is of no value to us.They are there only to see who committed a crime after it has happened – or just for David and Scott to spy on who takes out their garbage in their underwear.
It would have been better to spend that money on a upgraded intercom system where each building would have a “contact all” function that would announce things like –
there will be no water on [day] –
the laundry room will be closed on [day] –
there is a fire on the [##] floor of the building, do not use elevators. close all windows and balcony doors –
there is a fire in the area we suggest you close windows and balcony doors to prevent smoke coming into your apartment.
An upgraded system would repeat the announcement until each shareholder answered their phone and hung up or at the end of the announcement day
An upgraded intercom makes a lot of beneficial sense – and the cameras are there just for us to give a smile or a finger to the board.

KeymasterDon’t report any maintenance men for doing side jobs. They have a right to earn income during their off time.
But you should call 311 or the NYC Board of Health to report a severe roach and water bug infestation in the 9707 lower floors caused by the property managers renovation of his office.
The invasion of those insects can spread disease to children and the elderly.

I believe the Yura comments are meant to describe waterbugs (moma roaches) and the waterbug bites (that eat you).
The bugs do bite and usually only come out at night. There have been past experiences where waterbugs have come up through the bathroom drains. For example, a first floor apartment had them coming up through the bathroom sink (through the overflow hole in the sink basin).
Some have said stuffing a small sponge in the overflow hole and closing the stoppers in both tub and sink will keep them from crawling out.
If you don’t have a tub stopper in the bathroom you can buy a hair catcher/drain strainer in the 99 cent stores. They are standard size to fit in the tub’s drain. They will help keeping the bugs out and catch the hairs that fall out when you shower (and keeps the drain from clogging).
If you want some peace of mind, before you go to bed, pour a kettle or pot of boiling hot water and CAREFULLY pour it down the sink and bathtub drains and the overflow hole. Boiling hot water will kill them. Hot water from your kitchen and bathroom faucets is not hot enough to kill them.
