I really like Ron. He should be part of the board. He proves his points with lots of support and seems very educated, unlike the current board members who are uneducated and cant even type or speak grammatically. I wish he won.
I’m not here to defend or criticize any one individual. I do have questions about our present Board. Why do they sit silently at meetings and defer to our lawyer? Why did they tear down their opponents’ campaign flyers? Why wasn’t there a candidates night like in years when there was opposition (except during Covid)? Why don’t we receive monthly newsletters as we did in the past to update us? Why aren’t there building meetings?
Are the present Board members doing a good job? Maybe, but we need to hear from them and not through a lawyer or an occasional newsletter. When will we hear from themselves so we can judge for ourselves?
since they are accusing Doris for living for free in her apartment. Zarinas mother brother and David’s mom live all in parkcity. I think they are also living for free as well. They want to attack old board but they need to look at themselves first. They are walking in Chandra’s ways.
Hi I am a tenant shareholder of park city. I just want to say the new board is not any different then the old board. They are doing their schemeful tactics just like prior management did but in different ways. It’s very sad how each are throwing allegations on one and other and are very alike. Chandra got away with all his stuff because he was controlling everything even the books. Now the new management I’m surprised they are allowing Zarina to get away with everything. I’m just shocked with Akam. They need to put more controls into place.
Well they havent been serviced right for the past 15 years TBH. The old company definitely sucked. TBH!
Doing a search on the internet, the average life for an elevator is 20-25 years. That means that some elevators will last fewer years and some longer. So any reliable company will have parts for at least those years if a building isn’t ready to completely replace a unit.
How old are our elevators and what work is necessary? More than likely, some elevators need more extensive work than others. We shareholders should be given the details so we know how our money is being spent. I am not trying to defend or disparage one side or another. Just give us the facts that we are entitled to.
I’m not taking anyone’s side on this but we do need to apply logic.
The original elevators were installed when these buildings were built in 1954.
There may have been major repairs when the buildings were converted to a cooperative in 1980.
The original Offering Plan has pages devoted to the condition of each building and needed repairs.
The elevators might have been renovated at that time – renovated, not replaced.
The elevators were repaired over the years and finally replaced somewhere around the year 2000.
So now to the logic.
If you bought a new car in 2000 – 22 years ago – why would you expect your car dealer or mechanic to have parts for your car in stock today?
The issue with the elevators is why did it take so long for outages to be resolved. The previous company wasn’t that great, but the new company has taken much longer to fix problems. There would not be a problem with the supply chain if the company had adequate inventory of parts to make repairs. No one should be against refinancing an elevator project assuming that such project is necessary. Shareholders should receive from the Board and management what is needed and why before such a major undertaking occurs.

Also surprised the conversation here switched to “when will the elevators be done” given this group was against financing for that project.
I’m not Steve but I can answer.
Renovating an office and redoing elevators are two different projects that require a different amount of time, planning, and resources.
Renovating an office is a simpler affair that can be immediately done. There is no reason to wait until the elevators are done to start a new project.
Elevators also will cost A LOT more than renovating an office.

Why is it okay that David can have his new management office in 9707 fixed and renovated, before our elevators?????? Tenants livelihood come first! Not the renovation for property manager. That should have came last!

I’ve lived in multiple coops before and never seen stuff like what’s happening here.
In answer to the comment I just deleted –
1. You can find where they are cheating and stop them.
2. You can find where they are stealing and have the District Attorney prosecute them.
