Maybe supers, handymen, and porters doing side jobs is illegal in your country. In AMERICA it is called free enterprise. Maybe you should go back to your country and join Putins army.

If anyone wants to comment about anything other than Park City, there are plenty of other sites to choose from.  Whether your left, right or center politically, let’s keep this just for Park City issues as it’s the only place for us to comment.

If you see supers, porters, or handymen dong side-jobs, please contact the management office — this is illegal.

What they do on their own time is not management’s business and there is nothing illegal about it!

          Smarten up stupid.

The new management and board  are wasting a lot of money on unnecessary things as I observe every day what is going on around the buildings. The first most important thing was the elevator project and it’s still pending. They are fixing other things instead of the priority. It’s a disgrace. Why all these unnecessary repairs and all these “new contractors” lagging around the buildings and garages smoking their cigarettes. Such a waste of money just to get their deals and money on the new contracts. David is not going to be here for long. He is here for two years tops to get all his money and will run away with Zarina. Maintenance will sky rocket once they leave it to dumps. I have forecasted everything and this is how it will play.  This is the plan.

Proxies are not the answer. If you have 9 people on a slate and just one of them is disliked, a shareholder will not sign a proxy with the disliked person’s name on it and therefore depriving the other 8 members of that shareholder’s vote.

Candidates should should be selected and voted for based on their qualifications and their integrity.

“A chain is only as strong as its weakest link”. The same applies to a fixed slate of candidates.

If a group wants to win, the shareholders have to be approached (on the street or in their lobby) by a candidate who introduces him/her self as a candidate and then hands the shareholder a sheet of paper listing the other members of his/her slate and ASKS the shareholder to consider voting for all of the names on that list -or- for at least five of the candidates listed.

Since the Board lacks any integrity, let them continue to annoy shareholders by knocking on their doors at every hour of the day and night. When approached in the knock on door manner, the smart shareholders should just take the proxy in hand – say “I’ll consider it” – and close their door without signing anything.

If you want a fair and honest election with a new Board – or one with new people – YOU must make the effort to sell yourself as a candidate, or as a shareholder, to PROTECT yourself from someone forging your name to a hand-printed proxy.

If hand-printed proxies are used then they should have two signature blocks. One for the actual shareholders signature and another with the printed name of the person who is soliciting that proxy [which will help in identifying the criminal since forgery is a felony].

In every case (based upon the 195 FORGED proxies in the last election as identified by the Honest Ballot Association) each shareholder should go to the annual meeting and hand deliver the official proxy – or hand it to a trusted neighbor to attend and hand deliver it for you.

The candidates have to all go around early just like Rose and their slate did and get proxies signed. Otherwise, there will never be any changes to the board.  Waiting until election night is too late.

The NYS Supreme Court basically stated that getting the CV 19 shot(s) will not prevent you from being sick from CV19.

In the same context, I emphatically believe that having cameras on every floor of our buildings will not prevent you from being a victim of a crime.

If the cancellation of my PC Richards stove purchase and installation has led to constructive discussions then great but recently postings have spun off into local and even international politics!  Ron is correct this is a website to post Park City COOPERATIVE concerns.  Those that want a political forum should set  up that website and invite those interested to participate.

However for the 1st and only time I will address a non Park City item that was posted re Vaxxed vs Unvaxxed and the following decision: ‘the NYS supreme court ruled that terminated unvaxxed workers must be reinstated to their jobs with backpay on the basis that the covid shot did not prevent the acquisition or spread of cv19.’

I’m sure there are so many stories we can all tell about this horrific pandemic that started under the leadership of the Pres we had at that time but there’s one that speaks to me about that NYS supreme court ruling as it relates to a family I know from Brooklyn.  David a 38 year old NYPD officer died last Spring.  He was an unvaxxed civil servant participant of that lawsuit and looking forward to a favorable decision from the Court.  Unfortunately, as the only child of his parents -his father had a heart attack shortly after his funeral-they can’t celebrate it… Velarie Melvin

If you’re looking for “free speech”, go out on a street corner and say whatever you want.   Sites like this are designed with a specific area in mind and comments can be subject to removal of libelous statements, inappropriate language or topics not jermaine to that particular message board.   I’ve seen sites like this disband when they’ve denigrated into ugly comments.  Hopefully that doesn’t happen here.

How many permits for stove installations have been issued to our 6 buildings? Let’s look at the DOB website and find out. Hmmm….”under the table” seems fitting for a coop this size.

To Management we all see what you’re doing. It is disgusting that someone had to cancel their new stove order due to the installation fee while others don’t have to go through the process. Seems discriminatory to me.  Instead of snitching on our Maintenance staff snitch on the wrong doings of this Management.

                          NOTE TO AKAM MANAGEMENT

YOU ARE USING THIS WEBSITE TO ASK SHAREHOLDERS TO SPY ON MAINTENANCE MEN.

I’M SURE THEIR UNION WOULD OBJECT.

IF IT’S SO IMPORTANT TO YOU THEN YOU SHOULD ISSUE A “WRITTEN” NOTICE ASKING SHAREHOLDERS TO SPY ON THE MEN AND POST IT IN THE BUILDINGS SO THAT EVERYONE WILL HAVE PROOF OF YOUR UNDERHANDED (AND PROBABLE ILLEGAL) DEMANDS.

Yes let’s support the Supers and handymen that help us when in need.  They are always kind and willing to help. It is obvious Management posting against them.

Why doesn’t management look after all these big dogs that are now living in our coop. There’s a huge Rottweiler in 98-05. Go fetch that one.

NYC provides a complete pdf file of Master Plumbers (gives names, addresses, phone, license number and expiration date of their license)

It’s titled ACTIVE LICENSED MASTER PLUMBERS AS OF SEPTEMBER 2021.

                              Go online and type in

                              master-plumbers.pdf – NYC.gov

The same pdf information is available for licensed electricians

                              Licensed Electricians – NYC.gov

It’s $1800.00 because Akam wants you to use THEIR master plumber.  Most sites specify using a Master Plumber or licensed professional. Akam cannot dictate that you must use THEIR agent. Akam is a paid management company – a contracted service company – they cannot mandate who you WE choose to use so long as the chosen contractor has a permit (can be done online) and shows their registered license to the office. The amount of the “professional’s” service charge should be negotiated between you and him/her.

The old Board had a scam about “testing” the paint you were going to use in your apartment. The office would send a guy to your apartment and take a paint sample and ask for $200.00 cash (no checks) and leave saying he would report his findings to the office. Never showed any I.D. Office never gave a copy of the “alleged” paint test. Anything like that look familiar??

If I see supers/porters doing side jobs I will support them unlike the bitter Karen who keeps posting to encourage tenants to snitch on them. It’s stupid idiots like these which create situations where we have to pay $1,800 for a stove installation. In fact, the poster may even be Lakhani, the undercover rat.
