IMHO David is a pathetic liar and incompetent as a manager. He goes around doing what pleases him each day and firing whoever he wants and puts the co-op in jeopardy of labor lawsuits. It was a huge mistake to let Akam hire him. While the co-op is liable for his mistreatment of maintenance staff, that is paid by the co-op, his stupidity and (alleged) fraud purchasing puts Akam in the spotlight and Akam has the deep pockets. I just can’t wait for a new board and exposure of his embezzlement and then prosecution.

Please tell me if I am wrong. The elevator “modernization” is all just cosmetic. They are not fixing any of the electronics. They are replacing the inside doors but not the doors on each floor,  While watching the work in 9805. One worker has  been watching Spanish videos on his phone all day and just sitting around. Again, like the camera company who found this company?

Why is there a camera in the garage for every step with take? Has anyone looked up or it’s just me. I like the extra security however don’t think a camera is needed for every breath I take in the garage.

Your on Page 1 now,  scroll down to comment of Sept 8th @2:36 pm. It describes questions of  board spending as shown on the recent financial report including a conflict of interest in the co-op treasurers company selling supplies to our co-op at a profit.

Then scroll to Sept 6th @12:07am. That gives the actual specifics of the board cheating in the last election.

You say don’t whine – Do something about it.

The whining is factually informing shareholders like you of problems affecting us. If we can’t get an honest election of new board members with no conflicts HOW can we do something?

Our elections used to be in May. Even though our By Laws say elections must be in the month of May each and every year -the lawyer authorized the board to ignore the By Laws and the board did not authorize a new election date. They stayed silent. Finally they set Sept 2022 and cheated like hell to stay in power and took out a 30 million dollar mortgage and starting spending it as soon as it got to the bank. Do you really think we needed $840 thousand dollars of cameras on every floor and in every stairwell?

The Sept 8th overspending is clearly shown on the financial report.

The Sept 6th election cheating is actually shown on the Honest Ballot election results page.

It’s not whining. It’s informing people like you that YOU have to do something.

Ron was told apartment inspections are transmitted by a building Super’s phone to Akams buildinglink. That would include any of the Super’s phone photographs taken with or without your prior consent.

What happens to photos of your apartment when they become the property of buildinglink?  What security does buildinglink have to prevent hacking by malicious shareholders, renters, realtors or other criminals-in-waiting?  What is the lifespan of the buildinglink collection of photos? – a month? a year? or like the internet ‘an eternity’?

We are required to permit a maintenance man to inspect our apartments, upon advance notice, but there is nothing that allows them to record the interior of our apartments without an acceptable reason and most importantly our specific consent. PROTECT YOUR PRIVACY!

Let’s get rid of the dictators once and for all. Show up at the annual meetings and Vote. Vote. Vote.

The Annual Meeting is less than 2 weeks away and no election ballots have been sent out.  Is the election being held on 10/5?  Is anyone new running?  Does anyone know what’s going on?

how about the new “lead super “who goes around saying he has more than 20 yrs experience as super and supervisor when he was fired from a nearby building for being both lazy and incompetant. When at a call in an apt with a faucet leaking from “the neck”, his best reaction was to tie a rag around it to stop the leak when all you had to do was shut the small silver valve underneath the sink. Not exactlly the actions of an experienced super. He is a phony just like david (no past manager experience) who’s credentials were not checked or proven.

They are not doing a good job when they, under lies, fired trained personal for a group who does not even know how to do repairs or even gas installation that  can result on unnecessary disaster never seen before. They are making beautiful what we can see but other priorities  don’t

why do they have park city landscapers uprooting trees in front of 97-40 when that belongs to the city ?

Con Ed and many NJ power companies are changing the meters to smart meters. The electric companies pay to have them changed. I know of a new building in NJ ( 1 1/2 years old), that is being converted. The meters can be read virtually. The power company is paying for the conversion. I was told that David and someone else are considering doing this at the co-op’s expense. There are many state programs that will pay for this- not the shareholders.

DO NOT LET THEM GET AWAY WITH THIS!

When we converted to individual meters, we took advantage of a state program and incurred minimal expense.

Someone has to ask them about this. The same 2 people cannot ask all the questions.

The current board is trying to push out the three members who have voted against the majority in all things, like the cameras. I am going to ask at the meeting- When we make such a large expenditure to make it known who voted and how and how the bids were taken.

PLEASE! Talk to your neighbors. There are a lot of new people that do not understand NOT to give proxies to anyone. Tell them to come to the meeting. Tell them about how much the cameras are costing and that will get their attention. Talk to strangers in the elevator, laundry room, garage, lobby. EDUCATE THEM. We need to involve everyone, no matter their ethnicity- Asians, East Asians, Americans.

why would anyone advise somebody to address questions to a crooked board ? It’s like asking corrupt cops to uphold the law. REALLY ? Dumb advise !
